Maya Fontanez

Maya is a new grad nurse and is excited to be starting her career as part of the Maitri team! She is happy to be back in her home state of Vermont and is thrilled to be providing Maitri patients with individualized, inclusive, and empathetic care throughout all stages of their health. Maya graduated with her Master's in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University in 2024 after she was inspired by the compassionate care she received as a patient at Maitri for many years. With a special passion for mental health during pregnancy, Maya also worked as a birth doula while completing her graduate studies. Outside of work, she enjoys journaling, going to concerts, and walking with her dog, Scout!
